Position: Special Needs Animal Companion

This unique role provides companionship and attention for our special needs residents.
They struggle with bonding with the rest of the FARRM goats because of their needs and this position will see you spend time with them, even read to them, pet them, and generally provide them love.
​
There is no physical fitness requirement for this role, but dependability is essential. We struggle with folks being able to commit to a schedule and because this position will establish a bond with a lonely animal in need, it is crucial that:

You are 18 years of age or older (due to the unsupervised nature of this position, children 18 and under cannot fill this role, in whole or in part);

You are able to visit FARRM (located about 10 minutes outside Wetaskiwin) on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, for a minimum of 2-3 hours each day. Weekdays or weekends with a start time before 1 p.m.;

You are able to commit to visits for at least 1 year;

You are gentle with animals, patient, and can be attune to special needs;

You do not mind getting dirty.
