About: In August 2019, we received a call to help intervene in a neglectful situation involving dozens of potbelly pigs. The owner's family member had initially purchased a few potbelly pigs to start breeding them. However, they quickly lost interest and changed their mind. After being denied at a livestock auction, as potbelly pigs aren't "profitable," the owner kept the initial few pigs in a garage where they excessively bred without proper care. This operation took months for us to resolve.
After we stepped in, provided the necessary and proper vet care, and safely rehomed most of the pigs, we decided that Mia, her mom Belinda, and sister Ruthie should stay with us at FARRM. Since then, the trio has happily and healthily integrated into our forever herd.
